El Mono Azul Hotel is easily accessible by
plane, car, or bus (the direct bus from San Jose will leave you in front
of hotel, just tell the driver to stop at Mono Azul. The
Hotel is
surrounded by the glorious wildlife that makes Costa Rica what it
is. We are located 1 mile up the hill going toward the park on both
sides of the road, 3 miles from beaches and park.
From san Jose
Airport, take the main highway to Atenas exit, then turn
left and follow the signs for a breathtaking 2 hour drive,
passing some of the most beautiful scenery in Costa Rica.
Once in Quepos, continue on the bus from San Jose, which
will pass right by our hotel. Alternately, take the local
bus from town, after stopping in Quepos. This bus passes in front of
the hotel every 30 minutes. The beach, the National Park, and Quepos
are all 15 minutes by bus and 7 minutes by taxi from the hotel. An
alternate route for those who enjoy walking and want to experience
the local flavor, is to take the infamous old road to Quepos, a 1
mile hike taking 20 minutes down a scenic dirt road.
