Environmentally Friendly Hotel, Inn, and Restaurants!

• Non-toxic detergent & cleaning products are used by housekeepers whenever possible

• Recycling bins located in public areas and there is a recycling center for Kids Saving The
   Rainforest

• Some food waste is composted, the rest is saved to feed needy animals

• Left over shower and sink soap is collected and given to the National Park, the local
   schools,

• When toilet paper rolls are too small to use for guests, they are saved for the same 
   organizations

• Energy Efficient light bulbs used whenever possible

• Kids Saving the Rainforest Store with 100% of the proceeds going to save the rainforest

• Guests can adopt trees to help offset their carbon usage during their trip, KSTR will plant in
   the jungle

• Guests are given the option to have their towels and linens cleaned

• We use reusable tableware in our restaurant to reduce the amount of disposables

• Employees are asked to follow the hotel’s environmental commitment and to adhere to our
   green policy

• Native plants are used in landscaping

WE WORK WITH ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS Mono Azul and Blue Banyan Inn work with environmental groups; we research ways to become environmentally advanced, and we work together to preserve our global resources. We also adhere to the four "R's": Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and buy Recycled.
