El Mono Azul Hotel is easily accessible by
plane, car, or bus (the direct bus from San Jose will leave you in front
of hotel, just tell the driver stop is 5 minutes past Quepos), The
Hotel is
surrounded by the glorious wildlife that makes Costa Rica what it
is. We are located 1 mile up the hill going toward the park on both
sides of the road, 3 miles from the beaches and park.
The bus, an extraordinary ride costing 25 cents, passes in front of
the hotel every 30 minutes. The beach, the National Park, and Quepos
are all 15 minutes by bus and 7 minutes by taxi from the hotel. An
alternate route for those who enjoy walking and want to experience
the local flavor, is to take the infamous old road to Quepos, a 1
mile hike taking 20 minutes down a scenic dirt road. Come and stay
